Neiman Group Names Madsen to Lead Account Services as V.P.
HARRISBURG, PA (October 29, 2007) - Neiman Group today announced the promotion of Megan E. Madsen to Vice President, Director of Account Management. Madsen, celebrating a six-year relationship with the agency, was first hired in 2001 as a consultant and later as Account Supervisor in 2005.
As V.P. of Account Management, Madsen will provide leadership on the marketing, strategic planning and creative development of client campaigns, and contribute to new business development for the agency.
"Megan is the perfect example of the entrepreneurial spirit and the relentless pursuit of greatness that lives within everyone here at Neiman Group. As a former client herself, she will undoubtedly provide a highly valued perspective for our clients," said founder and CEO Steven Neiman. "She possesses a profound respect for the creative process and a natural ability to pioneer solutions."
Throughout her tenure with Neiman Group, Madsen has supervised Neiman Group's partnerships with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Tobacco Control program, Troeg's Brewery, Temple University and others.
"I'm so excited to have Megan in our lineup as she brings an invaluable perspective to the agency. As a six-year veteran of Neiman and a former client, her vast knowledge of our ins and outs and her significant managerial skills are amazing assets to our Account Service team and to the entire agency," said Don Transeth, Senior Vice President. "I'm honored to have the opportunity to work with such a talented and esteemed player."
Prior to Neiman Group, Madsen owned an independent marketing consulting firm, working for clients including Neiman Group, Host Marriott Corporation and the American Medical Group Association. From 1996 to 2001, Madsen held key positions in Pennsylvania state government. As Press Secretary and Communications Director for the PA Department of Health, she saw an opportunity to save millions of dollars consolidating multiple marketing vendor contracts and made it happen. She later served as Communications Director for the Department of Community and Economic Development where she managed all tourism and economic development media activities, coordinated key job announcements for the Governor and Department Secretary, including international trade missions and major business development deals with company CEOs.
"Megan has been a client, a colleague, and always a close friend," said Neiman Group President Tim Reeves. "In life, sometimes you get smart people and sometimes you get great human beings. When you get both, you better try to keep them. We hope that Megan will be with us for a very long time."
Currently, Madsen is an active board member for the Arthritis Foundation and enjoys writing and discovering good Italian wines with her husband James (a senior copywriter at Neiman Group) and spending as much time as possible with her two young girls, Madelyn and Graci at their Camp Hill home.
